Has everyone gotten over the surprise of the Gears of War: Reloaded announcement? The fantastic news is that we can all experience it this summer, and possibly keep it at no extra cost – thanks to a generous deal for Xbox users.
Essentially, if you already own the digital edition of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One, you will receive a free code for Gears of War: Reloaded added to your Xbox account prior to the game’s release.
“A code for Gears of War: Reloaded will be sent before the game’s launch through a direct message to qualifying Xbox accounts.”
However, before you hurry to purchase a digital copy right now, be advised that this complimentary upgrade applies only to transactions made before 4pm UTC on May 5th (when the announcement was made), so you must have bought the game previously to qualify. It’s a bit disappointing, but we understand the reasoning behind it.
Even if you don’t qualify for the free upgrade, remember that Gears of War: Reloaded will be accessible on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass starting August 26th, and it will also be available at a reasonable price of $39.99.
