Update: Saber Interactive affirms it’s deliberate

Update []: Saber Interactive has officially announced that Evil Dead: The Game will be removed from “digital storefronts,” but the servers will stay operational. It remains accessible on the Xbox Store at the moment, although this availability may not last!

“We can verify that we have initiated the process of delisting the game from digital platforms. Anyone who has acquired the game will still have access to play, as we plan to maintain our servers for all players.”

“We sincerely thank our community, both those who have been with us since the beginning and those who have recently joined. Your support means a lot to us.”

Original Story: We have a rather unsettling announcement regarding Evil Dead: The Game, which first launched on Xbox Series X|S in 2022.

As noted on the game’s subreddit, Evil Dead: The Game has been removed from several storefronts, fueling speculation that Saber might be “getting ready to end” it entirely.

Currently, it is still listed on Xbox’s storefront for £8.24 / $9.89, but keep in mind it is a PVP multiplayer game and Saber Interactive discontinued new content updates in 2023.

When this title was released, we had the opportunity to play it and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but we were concerned about its longevity and whether its player community would remain engaged.

We’ll keep you posted with any updates or news.
