Yesterday, the group behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 revealed that they were about to initiate a significant balance adjustment in its inaugural patch this week – and now that update is live on Xbox and Game Pass!
Indeed, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 patch 1.2.3 is accessible now, and below are the complete patch notes across all platforms, including Xbox.

Here are the alterations and corrections.
STEAM DECK

Corrected backgrounds of different menus not showing correctly on the Steam Deck
XBOX GAMEPASS

PC GAMEPASS: PS5 controllers are now supported
Various Ultrawide Fixes

Gameplay will no longer be zoomed after a cutscene occurs in ultrawide resolutions

The Options menu image will no longer appear stretched in ultrawide resolutions

Combat UI now adjusts correctly to ultrawide resolutions

Game will no longer minimize upon altering settings in ultrawide resolution

Cutscenes won’t letterbox in a 32:9 aspect ratio

The title screen will now show fullscreen when the game is launched in ultrawide resolution
Mouse and Keyboard

UI button prompts in the Expedition Menu are now visible and fully functional with the keyboard

Mouse buttons do not become unresponsive after the first use
-
With the mouse cursor on screen, using ‘WSAD’ or directional arrows to navigate in UI or execute other functions will no longer hide the cursor instead of completing the intended action

A left mouse-button click will no longer impede the player from utilizing the keyboard to navigate menus
-
Mouse input will remain intact after the initial Jump counterattack if pressed only once

Each passing year, the number diminishes, taking more lives. Soon, she will count “33.” When that occurs, we will commence our final task—to eliminate the Paintress and end her lethal cycle once and for all.

Fixes and adjustments to weapons and skills:

Rectified Lithelim attribute scaling not functioning at higher levels. Decreased initial Vitality scaling from A to C (still ends at S at maximum level). Added Luck scaling starting from D.

Corrected Blizzon attribute scaling not operating at higher levels. Lowered initial Luck scaling from B to C (still reaches S at maximum level). Introduced Defense scaling beginning from D.

Rectified Medalum’s third Lumina doubling all damage in Virtuose Stance instead of only doubling Burn damage.

Stendhal: Reduced damage by 40%.
Additional fixes

Boss battle in Stone Wave Cliffs can now be completed on NG+

You will no longer face obstruction from the Journal UI after opening the first Journal in Spring Meadows

Resolved inability to shoot in Free aim while exploring levels due to worn triggers

Lune and Monoco will no longer spawn in the same location during the conclusion of their Level 6 relationship quests if tackled without returning to camp

If at camp you select “remember the objective”, then swiftly opt for “go to sleep” and immediately afterward press “leave”, the screen will no longer turn black

You cannot trigger the “Discovering the Truth” cutscene in Old Lumière a second time consecutively, splitting the party with only Verso and Maelle remaining.

Updated rolling credits
The team concludes the patch notes by stating that “this is the first in a series of updates we intend to roll out over the coming months,” and they are “still looking into numerous feature requests and issues for future enhancements.”
