Bendy And The Ink Machine Is Being ‘Enhanced’ For Xbox Series X|S

Update: It’s set to occur next week!

Update []:

The launch date for this upgraded version of Bendy and the Ink Machine has been revealed, and it’s coming up on May 8th, 2025! Pre-orders are currently open on the Xbox Store for £15.49 / $19.99, though regrettably, there doesn’t appear to be a complimentary upgrade option for those who possess the Xbox One version.

We haven’t yet seen specifics regarding the enhancements, so we are assuming it’s merely a visual transformation.

Original Story: We’ve frequently noticed Bendy and the Ink Machine climbing the Xbox charts every time it undergoes a significant price cut, which is remarkable since the Xbox One edition was launched seven years ago!

It seems poised for yet another resurgence, as it has been announced today that the game is being “enhanced” for next-gen consoles. Bendy and the Ink Machine will debut for Xbox Series X and Series S this May (exact date to be confirmed).

Sadly, today’s announcement didn’t provide much information, so we aren’t clear on what exactly has been improved at this moment. There’s also no mention of whether this will be a complimentary upgrade or an additional cost for those who already own the game on Xbox (we suspect it’s the latter, but we can’t be sure).

If you haven’t encountered Bendy and the Ink Machine yet, it’s a well-received “puzzle action horror game” that boasts “very positive” reviews on Steam and an Xbox score of 4.5/5 based on over 1,000 user evaluations on the Microsoft Store (US). It was also featured in the recent Xbox “Spooky Sale” alongside 2023’s Bendy and the Dark Revival.
