“Consume demons. Exact retribution!”
Tales of Berseria is set to make its Xbox premiere in just a few months! Bandai Namco has revealed that the game is being remastered for Xbox Series X and S (as well as PS5, Switch & PC) on February 27th, 2026.
This title initially launched for PlayStation platforms back in 2016 before receiving a PC adaptation in 2017 and garnered quite favorable reviews at the time. It’s the second most recent installment in the principal “Tales of” franchise, with 2021’s Tales of Arise being the latest (and that one did launch on Xbox from day one).
Here’s some additional information about the remastered edition:
“This remaster introduces new quality-of-life enhancements, like destination icons, encounter toggling, and early access to grade shop, designed to facilitate the experience of new players in this classic action JRPG. The game also features downloadable content from the original version, including character outfits, bonus items, and other beloved extras.”
If you’re keen on acquiring it, Tales of Berseria Remastered is available in two distinct editions on the Xbox Store – the standard edition costs £34.99 / $39.99 and includes a Super Adventuring Assistance Set pre-order bonus, while the Deluxe edition presents a range of additional perks including a digital artbook and soundtrack for £49.99 / $59.99.
We’ll conclude with some official screenshots below, and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
“Tales of Berseria Remastered is a beloved installment in the Tales of series that introduced players to Velvet Crowe, a woman whose existence is upended by treachery. In this remastered version, players will once again delve into a world caught between feelings and logic, where Velvet and her allies cut through anyone and anything in their way as they traverse a realm of emotional connections and betrayal. Velvet seeks retribution for her brother’s murder and must chart her own course.”
