We’re already aware that ASUS and Microsoft will share far more details about the ROG Xbox Ally handheld during next week’s Gamescom celebrations, yet now we’re promised another big Xbox unveiling courtesy of ASUS!
This latest tease arrived via a brief social clip today, and its YouTube caption bluntly calls the show-and-tell an “extraordinary” reveal. Watch the footage and literature below:
“From substance to a brand-new kind of strength. Something phenomenal awaits. Prepare to witness the future of play at #ROGGamescom2025. Stay locked.”
So what exactly is it? Clearly, it’s a gamepad of sorts—complete with an Xbox emblem right where you’d expect. Their decision to tie this peripheral to “the future of play” hints at an unusual feature set—or at minimum reveals a lot of confidence in their latest creation.
We still don’t know whether the announcement will drop during Gamescom Opening Night Live, one of Xbox’s pair of broadcasts, or an entirely separate venue next week, but clarity is almost upon us. Keep your eyes peeled!
