Our first proper Core update since March

Microsoft has today announced a new batch of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass Core in October, which marks the first time the “Core” service has added some new console games since March!

These are three excellent games as well, with the always-popular Disney Dreamlight Valley joining the classic simulation game Cities: Skylines – Remastered and the co-op FPS Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

All three of these games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass Core service on October 1st, 2025. We’ll remind you about them when that date rolls around, but for now, here are some more details about each of the upcoming additions:

Cities: Skylines – Remastered (October 1)

Cities: Skylines – Remastered puts you in charge of a growing city, from the ground-breaking of its first streets to the ever-changing needs of thousands of citizens. Design, build, and manage the city of your dreams, from public services to civic policies, and challenge yourself to grow from a simple town to a bustling metropolitan hub.

Disney Dreamlight Valley (October 1)

Explore a world filled with the magic of Disney as you discover rich stories and build the perfect neighborhood alongside Disney and Pixar heroes and villains in this new life-sim adventure game. Welcome to Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (October 1)

Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new co-op focused experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series. As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.
