It is widely known that Xbox has numerous titles scheduled for release in 2025, yet the information we have obtained thus far does not encompass all the projects the company is developing. Xbox Game Studios’ leader Craig Duncan mentioned in a discussion that Microsoft has several games ready to be unveiled.

When questioned about his current gameplay experiences and future expectations, Duncan shared on the Xbox podcast that he dedicates ample time to playing Microsoft’s own titles, including those that are yet to be announced. “We have a plethora of projects that have not been revealed, so understandably, I spend a great deal of time with that,” he stated.

Microsoft has more titles coming to PS5 this year than Sony so far, including Indiana Jones and the Famous Circle, Doom: The Dark Ages, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Mythology: Retold, The Outer Worlds 2, and Ninja Gaiden 4.

Regarding when any new Xbox titles might be revealed, it is anticipated that Microsoft will hold some type of showcase this June, which could potentially provide insights into upcoming Xbox games. One Xbox title anticipated for 2025, Fable, was recently delayed to 2026 and is expected to be available on PS5. Other forthcoming Xbox games include a new Perfect Dark and Gears of War: E-Day. There are also speculations surrounding a Halo game arriving on PS5, while Microsoft has confirmed that multiple new Halo projects are in development.

In the interview, Duncan also commented on the Switch 2 announcement in January. He expressed that it was “exciting to see” Nintendo finally showcase the console. Duncan mentioned he is “always intrigued and eager” to see what Nintendo has planned for its audience. Previously, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer strongly hinted that the company would bring games to the Switch 2, which makes sense given Microsoft’s current multitalented strategy.

Duncan was recently elevated to the position of Xbox Game Studios head, following his extensive tenure as the studio lead at the Sea of Thieves developer, Rare.
