In X-Manhunt, Charles Xavier will escape from the notorious Graymalkin Penal Facility, igniting a search for the fugitive Professor X that will involve all three main X-Men factions. This arc kicks off with Uncanny X-Men #11, penned by Gail Simone, illustrated by Javier Garrón, colored by Matthew Wilson, and lettered by Clayton Cowles, featuring a cover by David Marquez and Wilson.

Xavier was confined after the conclusion of the Krakoa Era, which ended with him turning against humanity in a desperate attempt to establish a mutant nation.
