The recent Wonder Rivals update appears to have removed the capability to utilize mods on PC.

Wonder Rivals has been in Season 0 since its debut last month, and the day before this, the game’s inaugural season launched, introducing significant balance modifications and the heroic Fantastic Four ensemble: Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing.

However, following the update, players are reporting that asset hash verification has eliminated the ability to use mods, such as custom skins or frame rate enhancements.

Asset hash verification assesses what is operating on your PC against what the servers believe your configuration should include, and if it detects any discrepancies—referred to as mods—the account may be suspended.

The latest Wonder Rivals update has enabled Asset hash verification. Consequently, Mods do NOT function anymore until a workaround is discovered.

While some express disappointment over the removal—including considerable discussion about Venom’s “19-inch stalk”—others are more indifferent regarding the updates, asserting that Wonder Rivals is a free-to-play title that depends on battle passes and skin sales for revenue.
