Wolverine’s Century-Long Struggle: A Dive into “Sabretooth: The Dull Construct No More” #1
Sabretooth might be inactive in the current X-Men storyline, yet his animosity towards Wolverine stretches back over a century. In *Sabretooth: The Dead Don’t Talk #1*, we uncover the narrative of a concealed chapter in their brutal and bloody history that unfolds in the 1900s.
Now, we present a sneak peek of interior pages crafted by writer Frank Tieri, artist Michael Sta. Maria, colorist Dono Sanchez-Almara, and letterer Joe Sabino, where the stage is set for the story, featuring notably younger versions of Sabretooth and Wolverine as they find themselves imprisoned at Ravenscroft Asylum.
Here’s a gallery of interior pages, along with the cover by Adam Kubert:
“SABRETOOTH IS DEAD…BUT HIS PAST IS VIBRANT AND DANGEROUS! A figure from the 1900s featured in a photograph at New York City’s oldest tavern? Absolutely. A notorious gangster and killer who ascended to prominence among the infamous gangs of NY? Indeed. And perhaps most astonishingly, none other than…Sabretooth?!?” reads Marvel’s official description of *Sabretooth: The Dead Don’t Talk #1*. “Join us – and Wolverine – as we unveil this hidden, untold chapter from the life of Logan’s fiercest adversary in a tale filled with violence, betrayal, shocking revelations, and even more violence. Sabretooth may be deceased…but the secrets of his past – and their potential impact on Wolverine today – are very much alive!”
As many enthusiasts are aware, the enmity between Sabretooth and Wolverine traces back to their childhood at the close of the 19th century, with the two notoriously long-lived mutants attempting to eliminate each other countless times in the years that followed. Sabretooth’s most recent attempt occurred within the *Sabretooth Battle* storyline, which ultimately led to his own demise.
*Sabretooth: The Dead Don’t Talk #1* will be available for purchase on December 25.
