Ian Fielding has been appointed as the CEO of independent studio Super Evil Megacorp. This announcement follows the long-term chief executive Kristian Segerstrale transitioning to the role of executive chair.

Founded in 2012, Super Evil has developed notable titles including Vainglory and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Destiny.

Previously, Fielding held the position of studio head at Super Evil, where he played a crucial role in transforming the company from a 30-member mobile-focused studio into a robust multi-platform developer with over 100 employees.

Prior to that, he worked at studios such as Insomniac Games and Riot Games. During his tenure at Riot, he was instrumental in leading significant updates for League of Legends and played a key role in the launch of Valorant.

Reflecting on his successor, Segerstrale remarked that much of Super Evil’s recent achievements have been realized under Fielding’s leadership. “We see a tremendous opportunity ahead, and I trust Super Evil is well-positioned for success with Ian as CEO, leading our incredibly dedicated team,” he affirmed.

Looking forward, Fielding expressed his ambition to elevate Super Evil into a “top-tier independent studio.”

“It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented leader as Kristian Segerstrale, and I eagerly anticipate our collaboration in his new capacity,” continued Fielding.

“I’m enthusiastic about the future of Super Evil as we begin to implement our long-term strategies to evolve Super Evil Megacorp into a premier independent studio with world-class talent dedicated to creating unforgettable shared gaming experiences.”
