The anticipation is indeed building for this weekend’s Pokémon Go Tour Unova, but the game is already gearing up for the next major public event – and the centerpiece of the game’s yearly calendar – Pokémon Go Fest 2025.

Prior to its formal announcement, the logo for Go Fest 2025 has surfaced online, thanks to dedicated Pokémon Go enthusiast subreddit TheSilphRoad. As usual, Pokémon fans have deduced which significant rare creature might become the focal point of the event, through various not-so-subtle hints.

This year’s design prominently features numerous golden gears, hinting at the Legendary Pokémon Magearna. This Steel and Fairy-type creature was introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon from Generation 7.

Each year, Go Fest traditionally adds another Legendary creature to the game. Last year’s event introduced Marshadow, while previous years have featured Diancie, Meloetta, and Shaymin. (We may even see Arceus in the future, hopefully.)

Additionally, elements of the logo – specifically its blue and magenta embellishments – strongly suggest the Generation 8 Legendary duo Zacian and Zamazenta. These have appeared in Pokémon Go in the past, but not in their more extravagant Hero of Many Battles forms. It seems likely these forms will make their debut at Pokémon Go Fest 2025 as well.

In-person dates for Pokémon Go Fest 2025 are to be announced soon.
