Unveiling the Intrigue: The Major Update for Rogue Prince of Persia has Arrived
The extensive new update for The Rogue Prince of Persia, titled Second Act, has arrived.
It was already anticipated to serve as a substantial relaunch and today Ubisoft made it official, referring to it as The Rogue Prince of Persia’s “largest update since its early access launch on Steam and GeForce in May 2024″.
In addition to enhanced visuals and a revamped color scheme, players can expect the wartime city of Ctesiphon to come to life, accompanied by a “notable change related to the Prince, whose hue has shifted from purple to a shade that not only aligns better with the new vision but also with the genre, setting, and the entire Prince of Persia saga.”
However, the “Purple Prince” will still be accessible when a set of playable skins is introduced in a future update.
“With the Second Act update, players can explore entirely new environments, the Mines and the Craftsmen’s District, confront new bosses, and engage with a fresh narrative segment, while Act 1 has received substantial enhancements,” Ubisoft clarifies. “Moreover, there are new adversaries to face and numerous quality-of-life improvements, such as difficulty adjustments, multiple save slots, automatic collection of spirit cinder & gold, and more.”
This update also introduces localization in German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
“I believe it resonates due to the game featuring an engaging protagonist,” Chris Donlan noted.
