In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, new weapons suggest that the gameplay environment is being refreshed once more. Everyone, from new players to veteran experts, will need to engage with the latest firearms, movement tools, healing items, and more that they will be able to gather in the upcoming months.
In light of this, we are providing an overview of all the new options right here in our Fortnite weapon guide for Chapter 6 Season 1. Several of these items are expected to remain throughout the year, while others will undoubtedly cycle in and out, with new favorites being introduced at the start of each new season.
For now, here is what you can expect to secure your victories with when it comes to the new Fortnite weapons.
Fortnite Chapter 6 weapon list
Firstly, let’s provide a quick summary of all the new and returning weapons you will find in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. Listed below, without any particular order, are the new firearms:
- Holo Tornado Assault Rifle
- Fury Assault Rifle
- Veiled Precision SMG
- Surgefire SMG
- Sentinel Pump Shotgun
- Twinfire Auto Shotgun
- Oni Shotgun
As of now, there is no indication, especially while downtime is in effect, on whether any older weapons will return for the start of this season. In addition to these guns, a new version of the Kinetic Blade, called the Storm Blade, is also coming to the game. Keep scrolling for further information on that one.
There will also be another new item: Oni Masks. After the blade preview below, you’ll find an explanation regarding Oni Masks.

Storm Blade
The Storm Blade is set to become a fresh favorite this season as the latest addition to the game’s extensive list of melee weapons. Although you won’t lunge forward with this blade as you might with the previous one, the Kinetic Blade, you will move faster and farther whenever you wield it, which will likely make it a sought-after item when evading the storm this season.
This season centers on embodying the spirit of a Ronin, and the Storm Blade is the quickest path from novice to legend in that context.
Oni Masks
Oni Masks, like the one showcased on the character in purple in this image, are another exciting feature being introduced this season. Initially, they come in two variants: the Fire Oni Veil and the Void Oni Veil.
As you might suspect, the Fire Oni Veil allows you to shoot fire projectiles at foes. Meanwhile, the more enigmatically named Void Oni Veil grants the ability to teleport over short distances.
Will more Oni Masks be introduced later this season or chapter? It seems likely, although we can’t confirm that just yet.
Sprites and Sprite Shrines
As seen in the background of this image, Sprites appear as friendly little orbs of energy that assist you on your quests. They come in three varieties to kick off the season.
Air Sprites can be thrown to create a wind vortex that launches you into the air, allowing you to deploy your glider. They can even propel vehicles and damage structures.
Water Sprites can be thrown to create a healing fountain that restores both your health and shields–as well as benefiting others nearby.
Earth Sprites are the most demanding of these little fellows. They consume whatever you feed them and produce rewards in return.
You can also bring Sprites to Sprite Shrines, where you can “revitalize” them and provide yourself with a nice advantage. These benefits come in four different types:
