Amazon has updated its delivery estimates for the Alien: Romulus Limited Edition Steelbook and restocked the available 4K Blu-ray, 1080p Blu-ray, and DVD formats of the recently launched film. Upon the release of Alien: Romulus on December 3, Amazon anticipated a wait of up to two months for those wanting the Limited Edition Steelbook. Now, Amazon estimates that orders placed today (December 8) will arrive before Christmas. However, Walmart is currently sold out.
If you do not mind standard cases, the best deal is the 4K Blu-ray for $30 at Amazon or Walmart. You could save $25 compared to the Limited Edition Steelbook price. Last week, Amazon was charging more than Walmart for each edition, but now both merchants have the same prices.

Helmed by Fede Alvarez, Alien: Romulus centers around a group of friends striving to escape from a desolate planet by reaching an abandoned home location. Instead, they encounter a terrifying creature and uncover a grim secret linked to the environment’s history. The film has received positive feedback from reviewers and is regarded as one of the standout entries in the Alien franchise in recent times.
Amazon and Walmart offer great prices on more movies from the Alien series, including the Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Aliens, which was launched on 4K Blu-ray earlier this year, and Alien: 40th Anniversary Edition on 4K Blu-ray. The Alien series has inspired a variety of art books, novels, comic books, and even a Little Golden Book aimed at teaching children the alphabet, aptly titled A is for Alien: An ABC Book.
