Unveiling Human Missteps: A Deep Dive into the Platform Analysis
The cross-platform test for Once Human is now live on PC and mobile.
Running from now until March 30th, players in Europe, Japan, and North America can dive into NetEase’s free-to-play PvPvE sandbox action horror before the mobile version – announced initially in September – makes its debut in April 2025, enabling them to explore the “seamless” cross-progression features between PC and mobile.
According to NetEase, “Once Human’s cross-platform test utilizes the existing global server setup currently in use by the PC edition of the game.” This indicates that all content from the PC version, encompassing all Scenarios and the Visional Wheel/Lunar Oracle, can be accessed by mobile users during the test period.

I rated Once Human a modest three out of five stars in my review for Eurogamer, stating that it offers a deeply engaging open-world scavenging experience, but flawed mechanics and generic elements hold it back. Since its launch, however, NetEase has enhanced its premium in-game offerings, including cosmetic loot.
