Rebellion Wolves, the fresh studio established by former CDPR developers, has officially unveiled its inaugural project, the single-player, third-person dark fantasy origin RPG Blood of Dawnwalker.

Rebellion Wolves was formed nearly two years ago and the studio announced a new game in development almost a year agoEurogamer), alongside former Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz. They are accompanied by other ex-CDPR members including Bartłomiej Gaweł, who served as the art director for The Witcher 3 and Blood of Dawnwalker, along with Jakub Szamałek, who is a legendary director at Rebellion Wolves. Additionally, the studio’s animation director, Tamara Zawada, departed in 2024.

In Blood of Dawnwalker, you take on the role of Coen, the character featured in the trailer, who has transformed into a Dawnwalker, a unique blend of human and vampire.

Weekly updates, stories from your favorite communities, and more

Tomaszkiewicz and Szamałek disclosed additional details during Dawnwalker’s live stream. The game features a day/night cycle that players must carefully navigate as a Dawnwalker. You also need to ensure that you don’t get too hungry—otherwise, you will be compelled to feed on your kin. Adding to this element of urgency, you have 30 in-game days and 30 in-game nights to reconnect with your family. Fortunately, you can expedite time by completing missions that advance the clock.

A comprehensive gameplay reveal is expected in Summer 2025.
