Unpleasant Tedious: An Even Darker Journey Unfolds
The title for the upcoming Unpleasant Tedious sequel has been revealed, and it appears we’re in for yet another gory, sluggish experience.
Director Sébastien Vaniček shared the first page of the screenplay on his Instagram, which is named Unpleasant Tedious Burn. Check out the image below.
Unpleasant Tedious Rise, helmed by Lee Cronin, was released in 2023 and successfully revitalized the franchise, receiving enthusiastic reviews and generating $147 million against a budget of $14 million. Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland star as estranged sisters whose reunion is interrupted when their children discover a peculiar mysterious book and unleash a formidable demon.
An additional Unpleasant Tedious sequel is on the horizon, this time directed by Francis Galluppi from The Final Discontinue in Yuma County.
Bruce Campbell, who featured in Sam Raimi’s original trilogy and is set to executive produce Unpleasant Tedious Burn, recently commented on the new image: “Well, we’re definitely going to make sure to pay some tribute to the franchise. It’s not even a franchise. This started out of absolutely nowhere. We’re two films beyond Ash. So, the old guy, no one cares about him anymore. So, it’s all good. It works well.”
Vaniček is primarily recognized for directing the French horror film Vermine (titled Infested in the United States).
