Unlocking the Game Changer: The Hidden Skill in Kingdom Approach: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 captivates us all with its depth and concealed skills, and this one will enable you to conquer the game’s most lethal foes: branches and fallen logs.
Have you ever been riding through the stunning forests of Bohemia and been unexpectedly thrown off your horse by a bothersome branch that you failed to notice? It’s quite embarrassing, but thankfully, there’s a very simple way to avoid them – just look down.
This hidden skill was revealed by FabioDracul on YouTube, where they demonstrate looking down at their horse’s mane while navigating a wooded path filled with fallen trees and branches. “I discovered that I can duck by looking down,” they mention, before excitedly exclaiming, “I can duck by looking down!”
KCD2 Hidden Skill Unlocked: Ducking – YouTube
This is an absolute game-changer. You won’t need to navigate around obstacles or awkwardly remount your horse after nearly having your head banged. However, it’s not a guaranteed ticket to avoiding every branch. You’ll still need to use your, well, head. If a branch is clearly too low to duck under, you won’t magically shrink. Therefore, if you see a log at an angle, aim for the highest point and then look all the way down to slide under the hazard.
I wish this feature existed in Red Dead Redemption 2. I’m replaying it right now, and if I take my eyes off the path for even a second while galloping, I worry about getting knocked off my feet.
This is just one of the many hidden skills found in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Did you know if you wear a blacksmith’s apron and gloves, you can receive a bonus to your crafting skill? And wearing glasses gives a boost to your scholarship skill, which means you can read books more quickly. Perhaps Henry is a bit nearsighted and just doesn’t recognize it.
There’s even a mechanism that determines what kinds of items NPCs will gather from the ground. Wealthy characters wouldn’t dream of picking up food from the street, but they’ll gladly collect valuable jewels instead. I appreciate little details like these.
