Unleashing Potential: Exploring the Future of Xbox Game Pass in 2024
Another year is nearly wrapping up for Xbox Game Pass! The upcoming week appears to finalize the last two games added to the service before the conclusion of 2024, as Microsoft doesn’t intend to host another significant announcement until we step into early January.
This moment allows us to reflect on some notable additions that have become quite popular, such as Stalker 2, Hellblade 2, Palworld, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the forthcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, along with many others. It also gives us a chance to evaluate what an eventful year it has been for the service in 2024.
Here at Pure Xbox, we have been immensely thrilled to continue our Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions throughout the past year, and our backlogs have gotten so extensive that we have plenty to keep us occupied heading into 2025 and beyond. Looking back at some of those initial releases from January to March, we still haven’t gotten to play quite a few of them yet!
That said, we also recognize the feedback regarding the quantity of additions that has emerged in recent months. It’s clear that Microsoft has somewhat scaled back on the overall number of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate additions released every few weeks, opting instead to focus on major new titles like Stalker 2 and Black Ops 6, along with updates to the new Xbox Game Pass “Standard” tier, which is now accessible for those subscribed to XGP Ultimate.
