
Unity outlines support for approved Nintendo Switch 2 developers
Solidarity has committed to enhancing game developers with “official assistance for Nintendo Switch 2.”
In a statement, the engine developer confirmed that assistance will soon be available through a Solidarity 6 extension for certified Nintendo developers, “further enhancing Unity’s dedication to empowering creators to realize their visions on the broadest spectrum of platforms.”
Creators working on Nintendo’s new console can request rendering and performance fine-tuning, seamless multiplayer features, and improved development documentation.
Moreover, Solidarity is also devoted to “facilitating developers in transferring their existing Nintendo Switch titles” to Nintendo Switch 2 by “ensuring full compatibility with essential features in Unity 6,” including upgraded input systems, design profiles, and a streamlined design pipeline.
