While video games aren’t particularly celebrated for their outstanding narratives, the Injustice series, set in an alternate version of the DC comics universe, stands out as an exception. Not only has the in-game narrative stretched across two installments thus far, but it has also been adapted and enhanced into its own DC comics series. Though the series has already introduced several collections, the second iteration, aptly named Injustice 2, is set to be released in a comprehensive hardcover omnibus edition. Authored by Tom Taylor, who also wrote the initial two years of the acclaimed Injustice: Gods Among Us comic series, the Injustice 2 comics take place shortly after the events of the first game. With the malevolent parallel-universe Superman from the initial game imprisoned in a high-security facility, Batman is now focused on rebuilding Earth after it endured five years of turmoil under the control of the Man of Steel. Naturally, new threats emerge, forcing Earth’s heroes to once again step up to protect its inhabitants. The omnibus collects Injustice 2 issues 1-36 along with Injustice 2 Annuals 1 and 2.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Omnibus Edition Volume One encompasses the first three years of the saga, detailing Superman’s downfall after he’s deceived by the Joker, leading to the destruction of Metropolis and the accidental death of his loved ones, plunging him into a villainous fury.
