UK Charts: 2025 Kicks Off with Familiar Favorites Taking the Lead

The current year is drawing to a close, and it’s time to examine how the rankings are shaping up for their debut in 2025.
Overall, it’s evident that certain titles are to be anticipated. The usual favorites, Hogwarts Legacy and EA Sports FC 25, maintain their positions at the top, while Elden Ring continues its unexpected comeback, reaching third place as we wrap up the rankings.
Among Nintendo Switch titles, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Minecraft all secure spots in the top 10 (in other news, the sky is blue), but this year has also witnessed a notable resurgence for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which now finds itself back in the top 20. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon Scarlet also make their return to the top 40 after being missing for several weeks.
