Twenty Games Set to Disappear from Xbox Marketplace in December 2024
In recent months, we have reported extensively on several upcoming server shutdowns and numerous game removals from Xbox, and as it turns out – a significant number of upcoming titles are indeed facing removal later this month. This means that folks at TrueAchievements have compiled the comprehensive list of December 2024 removals on Xbox – and we thought it would be helpful to share it here.
With SEGA removing several of its classic titles from Xbox this month, we have many exits from that selection, alongside some additional EA closures and the removal of Forza Horizon 4 in a few weeks. Regardless, here is the full list, along with the removal dates for each title:
- Altered Beast — December 6, 2024
- Crazy Taxi — December 6, 2024
- NiGHTS into dreams… — December 6, 2024
- Sega Bass Fishing — December 6, 2024
- Sega Mega Force & Genesis Classics — December 6, 2024
- Sega Classics Collection: Golden Axe — December 6, 2024
- Sega Classics Collection: Monster World — December 6, 2024
- Sega Classics Collection: ToeJam & Earl — December 6, 2024
- Sega Classics Collection: Streets of Rage — December 6, 2024
- Shinobi — December 6, 2024
- Sonic the Fighters — December 6, 2024
- Virtua Fighter 2 — December 6, 2024
- Forza Horizon 4 — December 15, 2024
- G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout — December 31, 2024
- Nerf Legends — December 31, 2024
- NASCAR Heat 3 — December 31, 2024
- NASCAR Heat 4 — December 31, 2024
- NASCAR Heat 5 — December 31, 2024
- NASCAR 21: Ignition — December 31, 2024
Regarding Forza Horizon 4 specifically, that title is also set to exit Xbox Game Pass this month, so it would be beneficial to purchase the game if you’d like to keep FH4 linked to your account for future accesses. The good news is that there is currently a significant discount on this title right now in the Xbox Store – available from now until the game is removed on December 15th.
It’s disappointing to bid farewell to all these Xbox games this month, especially these SEGA classics, which truly hurts. It seems the Japanese game developer is working on modern iterations of these franchises in the coming years.
