TransPerfect Expands Horizons with Acquisition of Technicolor Games
Transperfect, a firm that focuses on linguistic solutions and services related to the film and gaming sectors, has recently acquired Technicolor Games for an undisclosed amount. This unique subsidiary will function as part of Transperfect Gaming.
The organization’s gaming division offers services and solutions such as artistic production, quality assurance, and audio services. Its previous clients include localization for Blizzard Entertainment and Inxile, as well as customer support and marketing for Candivore.
In the announcement, Technicolor CEO Andy Emery stated that the acquisition “ensures [Technicolor’s] legacy continues, strengthening its standing as a leading provider of art, animation, and VFX services to the global gaming industry.”
Headquartered in North America, Asia, and the UK, Technicolor Games. has performed animation and VFX work for Kingdom Advance Deliverance II, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and EA Sports FC 25. As part of the agreement, Emery and global business VP Eric Williams will remain and integrate into Transperfect Gaming’s senior management team.
Technicolor’s workforce based in India will also be relocated to its Bangalore facility to “ensure uninterrupted service for all clients.”
This appears to be Transperfect’s inaugural game-related acquisition since it purchased localization firm MoGi Group in 2019.
