Tilting Point Unveils $150 Million User Acquisition Fund to Empower Developers in Growth Without Equity Compromise
Cell creator Tilting Point has introduced a $150 million user acquisition fund to assist developers expand their video games and applications.
This fund has been revealed just six months following the company reduced its workforce by 20 percent due to “challenging” market conditions.
Tilting Point previously provided user acquisition financing to studios back in 2016 and asserts that its experience in scaling over 200 titles across various platforms has facilitated “exponential growth” for its collaborators.
The company aims to serve as a “genuine financial and marketing ally” and is committed to offering developers the support they need to grow effectively without compromising their independence.
“The purpose of the fund is to supply developers with the financial resources they require to accelerate growth, without assuming the obligations or oversight that come with conventional publishing agreements,” states a release.
“Tilting Point will not intervene in the management of user acquisition campaigns unless developers directly solicit assistance, thereby ensuring they maintain complete independence over their marketing strategies and decisions while benefiting from the crucial funding necessary for success.”
New partners for Tilting Point
Game technology firm Legendary Games and educational game developer Start Up have already joined forces with Tilting Point through this fund.
Tilting Point now seeks to attract additional partners with the promise of “truly limitless and adaptable spending.”
“We were the first to establish a user acquisition fund like this, and its success—both past and present—depends on what we believe to be the secret ingredient: truly limitless and adaptable spending, paired with the complete control developers have over how much engagement they desire from Tilting Point,” remarked chief business officer Asi Burak.
“Investing in promising games has consistently been a key factor in our growth, and it’s how we have cultivated some of our strongest alliances.”
