No longer an unknown PS5 title this time
The studio behind the 2024 Silent Hill 2 remake — which will not be available on Xbox for now — has initiated another collaboration with publisher Konami for a forthcoming game, and this time it will be released on Xbox Series X|S.
Following Konami’s announcement of this venture earlier today, Polish outlet Bankier shared developer Bloober Team’s official statement on the matter, with the studio also headquartered in Poland. Nevertheless, this is the note after being somewhat translated – and it specifically indicates Xbox Series X and S as target platforms:
“The Management Board of Bloober Team S.A. with its registered office in Kraków (hereinafter referred to as the “Issuer”) hereby informs that on February 25, 2025 it entered into a material agreement with Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd, with its registered office in Tokyo, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “KONAMI”), regarding the development of a game by the Issuer for PC, PS5, and Xbox X/S platforms, based on intellectual property owned by KONAMI, under the codename Project ‘G.'”
As for what this game definitely is, well, the two teams have yet to disclose that information. However, given Bloober’s surprising success with Silent Hill 2, many speculate that this collaboration will yield yet another title in the renowned horror franchise.
Here on Team Green, we are still waiting for Silent Hill 2 to arrive on our consoles; having been a PS5 and PC exclusive since its release last year. We do anticipate it will make the jump eventually, as we outlined in our latest piece on everything related to Silent Hill 2.
