
The Future of Sport Development: AI’s Crucial Role in Quality Assurance
According to a recent survey conducted by Modl.ai, 30% of game developers believe that artificial intelligence will have an “extremely significant” impact on quality assurance processes.
Conducted in September 2024, the Danish AI firm surveyed 303 game developers based in the US across various sectors including QA, production, art, programming, game design, audio, and studio management.
Of those interviewed, 94% agree that AI has already been integrated into their studios to improve processes such as test scripts, automated bug reporting, and playtesting automation.
The report suggested that leveraging AI for “repetitive, monotonous, and data-intensive tasks” could enable developers to concentrate on “creative and exploratory” QA work where “human input truly matters.”
This is especially relevant since 77% of participants indicated they felt they conducted “less QA than they ought to have” due to time and resource limitations.
Nearly half of those surveyed noted that AI proved most beneficial for faster bug detection, as well as automated bug reporting and round-the-clock testing capabilities.
