
“Thank Goodness You Might Just Be Here Claims Sport of the Year at UKIE Video Game Awards 2025”
David Braben and Meghna Jayanth were among the five individuals honored in the UK Video Games Trade Hall of Fame.
Coal Supper’s comedic game Thank Goodness You’re Here won UK Game of the Year at the UKIE Video Game Awards 2025 last night, as well as the title for best PC game.
Ustwo Games’ Monument Valley 3 secured the award for best mobile game, while Studio Gobo’s Lego Horizon Adventures earned recognition as the best console game, along with Soul Assembly’s Supreme Dance 2 VR for best mixed reality game.
Futurlab was recognized as the best developer, followed by Playstack, which received the honor of best publisher. The Rising Star award was presented to Spilt Milk Studios for “demonstrating significant promise for future contributions to the sector.”
Additionally, five individuals were inducted into the UK Video Games Trade Hall of Fame, including Carolin Krenzer, David Jones, David Braben, Demis Hassabis, and Meghna Jayanth.
