Finally, Quentin Tarantino’s two-part Kill Bill saga is set for a 4K Blu-ray release along with his cult-favorite crime film Jackie Brown. All three of these iconic Tarantino films are scheduled to release on January 21 and are available for preorder now at Walmart and Amazon. In addition to 4K Blu-ray discs, you will also receive standard Blu-ray and digital copies of the films.
Currently, Walmart has the best price for each film, allowing you to preorder them for $28 each. Amazon’s price for each is $43 at the moment, although it is not uncommon for Amazon to start Blu-ray preorders at retail prices before reducing them to match Walmart. Both retailers offer preorder assurances, meaning you will receive the films for the lowest price available from the time you place your order until your Tarantino films are delivered. Additionally, you won’t be charged for the films until they are shipped.

Jackie Brown was Tarantino’s third film, following Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. The 1997 film remains the director’s best adaptation of another author’s work in his ten-film career. Jackie Brown was inspired by the renowned crime novel Rum Punch written by the iconic author Elmore Leonard.
The 4K Blu-ray release features a ten-part documentary series, several new featurettes, deleted and alternative scenes, promotional items, a poster gallery, and an enhanced trivia track.
Jackie Brown stars Pam Grier as a flight attendant who often smuggles money from Mexico into the U.S. for a gun dealer in Los Angeles. In addition to Grier, the film also features Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Robert De Niro, Robert Forster, and Bridget Fonda. Like his first two films, Jackie Brown received positive acclaim from critics.

Tarantino’s following film wouldn’t reach theaters for another six years, but it was definitely worth the anticipation. A revenge thriller featuring Uma Thurman, 2003’s Kill Bill is a highlight reel of what makes Tarantino’s films unique. It presents a character-driven narrative filled with dramatic violence and accompanied by an exceptional soundtrack.

The soundtrack showcased the director enhancing his craft with numerous moments that advanced the limits of action for that era.
Additional bonus content for the 4K release includes a documentary titled The Making of Kill Bill Vol. 1, musical performances from the band The 5.6.7.8’s, along with various trailers, including the intriguing “bootleg” teaser.
Kill Bill Vol. 2 on 4K Blu-ray
$28 (originally $43)
Anyone who appreciated the original Kill Bill film didn’t have to wait long for the continuation, as Kill Bill Vol. 2 released just a year later in 2004. It remains the pinnacle sequel in Tarantino’s body of work. Like Vol. 1, the sequel’s 4K release contains a documentary called The Making of Kill Bill Vol. 2, along with the “Damoe” deleted scene, and a musical performance by Chingon.
Both films were crafted as a tribute to low-budget cinema, but compared to the first movie, the Kill Bill sequel was unexpectedly more subdued in its action. When it did decide to escalate the level of cinematic violence, each action scene felt distinct and shocking, bursting forth from extensive narrative interludes in the film.
