With the Nintendo Switch 2 approaching, it is safe to assume that we will be flooded with comparisons between the Switch 2, Xbox, and PS5 versions of games, with Street Fighter 6 serving as a primary example.

This analysis comes courtesy of ElAnalistaDeBits on YouTube, who has compiled a comparison of Switch 2 vs. Xbox Series S for Street Fighter 6, which you can view above – and the findings indicate that the two consoles perform similarly.

There are actually two Xbox Series S versions showcased in this video, primarily because of “bugged” textures that are seemingly the result of a somewhat flawed port. Here is how the analysis describes it:

The default Xbox Series S version fails to render textures correctly. While there are several methods to address this, it is a time-consuming process, and it appears to be a bug that Capcom has no plan to resolve. Both versions are displayed in this video. Ultimately, even with the textures fixed, the Switch 2 presents a higher resolution.

As you can see, it is stated that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 “displays a higher resolution,” and it indeed seems at first glance to be the more visually appealing version compared to what we observe on Xbox Series S.

However, this is not necessarily the fairest comparison due to the aforementioned texture issue, and we are also comparing a $299 console versus the others.
