Silent Hill F is no longer classified as ‘Refused Classification’ in Australia, as confirmed by the country’s Classification Board.

In a statement provided to the gaming news outlet Stevivor, the listing for Silent Hill F published on March 14, 2025, has since been removed.

“Silent Hill F is not presently classified as ‘Refused Classification’ in Australia,” the Australian Classification Board stated.

“The listing on the National Classification Database has been removed. A classification determination will be posted to the National Classification Database prior to the game’s launch.”

Stevivor notes that this listing could have been due to an error involving a self-reporting tool used by the ACB. GamesIndustry.biz has reached out to the ACB for further clarification.

As explained by IGN, this tool is operated by the International Age Rating Coalition, “which is a classification system intended for mobile and digitally distributed games.”

The IARC tool requires developers to complete an online questionnaire concerning the game, after which the tool automatically assigns a rating for participating regions. According to IGN, this rating is published “automatically” on the ACB’s National Classification Database.
