Steam Hotfix for Spider-Man 2 Aims to Resolve Stability Issues on PC Port
It also tackles issues with DualShock 4 button indications and a progress-hindering glitch.
A second hotfix is now available for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on Steam.
This patch – released while Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 maintains a “mixed” reception on Valve’s platform – includes “various crash fixes and adjustments” to improve the game’s stability.
“This update also fixes a glitch that stopped players from unlocking Achievements,” the note explained. “Affected users will earn those Achievements retroactively after applying the update and loading a saved file.”
The patch further rectifies an issue with DualShock 4 button notifications, and “fixed a frame rate-related progression barrier” in the mission Show Me New York.
The team has stated they will keep their collective ear to the ground as the hotfix is deployed and will closely monitor its bug reporting system and your feedback.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released for PC via Steam and Epic at the end of last week, but merely a few days and over 5000 user reviews later, it achieved a “mixed” rating on Steam with users reporting glitches, stability issues, and crashes.
Last week, Sony also confirmed it was retracting its previously mandatory PlayStation Network account requirements.
