Starward Industries Unveils Groundbreaking “Anti-Fight” RPG: Dante’s Ring
The Invincible creator, Starward Industries, has unveiled its next project: a motion-lumber anti-combat RPG, titled Dante’s Ring.
Combining elements of survival and arcade gameplay, Dante’s Ring challenges you to endure the “relentless natural forces during an unforeseen volcanic eruption on a strange, ancient, and enigmatic island.” It’s in this setting that you will be tasked with rescuing as many lost souls as possible.
This emphasis on saving lives instead of destroying them defines Dante’s Ring as “anti-combat.” You can also check out the teaser below:
“Embarking on a treacherous quest to the very edge of hell, Dante’s Ring will have players take on the role of a daring adventurer, aiming to survive and save as many lives as feasible while Mother Nature unleashes her fury in the Ring of Fire,” the developer hinted. “Unraveling mysteries hidden deep beneath the island’s volcanic chaos, players must confront molten lava streams, devastating earthquakes, and searing volcanic flames, equipped with heat-resistant armor and stylized vintage weaponry.
“As if that weren’t enough of a challenge, Dante’s Ring will constantly test players to navigate life and death through tactical planning and creativity, all while making complex moral choices that could influence their narrative. The key questions are: how much are you willing to sacrifice to save another life? Will you plunge into the very heart of hell, and are you prepared to unveil its secrets and strategies?”
Currently, there isn’t a confirmed release date, but Steam indicates that it is expected to arrive “soon” for early access in 2025. The team mentions that the game will remain in early access for as long as necessary.
