Soul Meeting Reduces Workforce by 15%

Genuine Dance VR creator Soul Meeting has laid off 15% of its staff.
According to a report by UploadVR, personnel from its QA, marketing, and animation sectors were impacted.
“This choice was made to ensure that the studio aligns with the demands of our upcoming projects,” acknowledged Soul Meeting CEO David Solari. “We are providing support to the affected team members as they navigate new opportunities and express our gratitude for their contributions.”

Affected staff were sharing their experiences on LinkedIn, including 3D artist Kristina Jonaityte, QA specialist Simon Kent, QA lead Jamie Keys, and senior character artist Jonathan Pearmain.
“It appears I have once more been caught in the fluctuations of the industry,” wrote Pearmain. “I have been let go, effective at the end of this week.”
Primarily based in Leamington Spa, Soul Meeting was established in 2022 after spinning off from Pixel Toys. As of 2023, the studio employs over 70 individuals.
