“Let’s get it on Xbox”

Since the launch of Shenmue III in 2019, numerous Xbox enthusiasts have been curious whether the third installment would eventually find its way to Microsoft’s console platforms. Although it may seem like the opportunity has passed since then, there are certainly revitalized expectations.
This excitement is rooted in a statement from publisher ININ Games recently – announcing last week how it would be collaborating with developer Ys Net once again, as it has now “officially secured the publishing rights to Shenmue III” and would have “some updates to share about this soon”.
“Alright, let’s prepare for a formal announcement about this, shall we? We are excited to reveal that we will once again be partnering with Ys Net, as we have officially secured the publishing rights to Shenmue III. Expect some news soon, so if you’re interested, stay tuned!”
As expected, this has triggered immediate calls for a release on Xbox and other platforms. One post on social media is urging Xbox players to “make some noise” and has even tagged Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer:

This action-adventure game, based on the iconic Sega franchise created by industry legend Yu Suzuki, was initially launched on the PlayStation 4 and Windows after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
