This week, SEGA introduced a new online profile system named SEGA Account. This initiative grants fans access to a variety of “benefits” while enjoying SEGA and Atlus games and utilizing their online services.

These perks may encompass numerous exclusive rewards for select games, starting with the forthcoming release of Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which is set to launch on February 21, 2025. For those who decide to create one of these accounts, they will receive the Kazuma Kiryu Special Outfit DLC in-game.

“SEGA Account is a profile that allows users to optimize SEGA’s online offerings and provides an array of advantages. Anyone can register, and it’s completely free!”

This initial offer can be redeemed from now until March 7, with codes being distributed between February 17 and the cutoff date of March 7. To take advantage of this, simply create a SEGA Account, connect to a compatible platform (such as Xbox), and you can claim the DLC item.

In addition to participating in promotions featuring “amazing rewards,” there’s also a feature “coming soon” that will allow you to review your past records for SEGA games you’ve played.

In other news related to SEGA, company president Shuji Utsumi recently mentioned how SEGA has been contemplating a subscription service, but he was unable to provide further information at that time. Could this eventually link to the new SEGA Account system? We’ll have to wait and see!
