“Season 3 of House of the Dragon to Unveil Forgotten Treasures from George R. R. Martin’s Lore”

The rental of the Dragon showrunner, Ryan Condal, is hinting at something quite chilling for admirers of George R. R. Martin’s works in the series’ forthcoming third season.

“We have certain particular elements we need to develop, and one of those is a very in-universe aspect that we’ve heard much about from the source material, but we haven’t truly witnessed in a distinct manner on screen,” Condal stated in an interview with Comicbook.

“It’s a minor detail, not a major aspect, but I found it intriguing. It’s one of those things where you really need to check out all the little tidbits found in the books, assemble the information, try to connect the dots as effectively as possible, and then fill in the gaps. I’m eager to see that come together, it’s an exciting addition.”

Martin previously expressed his dissatisfaction with the second season in a now-deleted blog entry, where his primary concern was the series straying too far from the original novels. The show has been officially greenlit for both a third and fourth season, and may therefore continue to a fourth based on Condal.

Season 2 currently boasts an 83% rating from critics and a 73% approval from viewers. However, before we reach season 3, there’s another Game of Thrones spin-off in the works – A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which concluded filming last year and is expected to premiere later this year.
