Roblox adds three new features to parental control settings
Parents and guardians can now block and report individuals on their child’s friends list
Roblox is continually enhancing its parental control features, adding three new elements designed to improve child safety on the platform.
Parents and guardians can now block and report anyone on their child’s friends list, which helps prevent direct messaging from blocked individuals.
Inappropriate games and experiences can now also be restricted, whereas previously parents could only view or change the content maturity rating.
Furthermore, Roblox has provided more detailed information about the experiences children are engaging with. Parents and guardians can see the 20 experiences their child has spent the most time on over the past week. If there are experiences they wish to restrict, they can be blocked.
Additionally, parents can set spending limits on their child’s account and adjust their child’s privacy settings.
“By offering tools to block certain friends and Roblox experiences, along with insights into how long their child is playing, parents can better ensure their children’s safe engagement with the platform,” says ConnectSafely CEO Larry Magid.
