Revolutionizing Gacha: The Future Enhancements for Infinity Nikki Studio
According to a recently released post on the Infinity Nikki website, Papergames’ strategy for the open-world action-adventure has been developed after gathering “millions of opinions” from players. A significant portion of this feedback falls into the “optimisations” category, starting with enhanced game performance on mobile devices – which the developer acknowledges as a “major challenge that needs to be tackled.”
Ultimately, the aim is not just to potentially improve frame rates but also to introduce a 60fps mode on mobile, although it states these initiatives to “push the performance boundaries of current mobile devices using Unreal Engine 5… will necessitate a long-term and ongoing optimisation process.”
“Enhancing graphics is one of our foremost objectives,” it states. “Our work to upgrade graphics quality, reduce lag, and fine-tune power consumption is ongoing across all devices.”
Further optimisation work is also promised, with Papergames emphasizing improvements to Infinity Nikki’s Purification aiming system – including adjustments to collision sensitivity – to make it easier to strike enemies at close range and with various high-performance abilities.
In other aspects, there are claims of accurate tracking enhancements for the game’s mini-map so that objects tracked using the feature will be simpler to locate. Papergames is also revamping Infinity Nikki’s prologue to address overly lengthy processes and ambiguous tutorials that it believes are hindering players from engaging with the environment. “We don’t want the ‘first encounter’ to be filled with memories of feeling lost, confusion, frustration, and failure,” it comments.
