Atari has unveiled a glimpse of its forthcoming “legendary” handheld device, Gamestation Drag.

While the company has provided limited or no specifics, it does suggest the handheld’s ultimate design with the accompanying phrase: “An icon, reimagined”.

The teaser reveals the console’s control layout, which appears to be quite impressive for a handheld device set to launch in 2025. Additionally, it confirms that the design will feature both a joystick and a Trak-Ball, along with a numeric keypad on the right-hand side.

That’s all we have for now – we still lack a release date or any concrete information, but with CES 2025 just around the corner starting January 7th, we’re hopeful that we’ll learn more specific details next week.

On the bright side, we also had a sneak peek at My Arcade, which is expected to incorporate some Intellivision treasures following Atari’s acquisition of the brand last year, marking the end of what Atari describes as the “longest-running console war in history”.

Atari’s home consoles competed fiercely against Mattel’s Intellivision in the late 1970s.
