Digital Eclipse has announced that the new Tetris sequel Welltris will be included in the impressive compilation title Tetris Forever through a complimentary update on Switch.

The game, originally launched in 1989, retains the core gameplay of Tetris, but introduces an additional dimension, effectively transforming the gameplay area into a ‘well’. It’s a unique concept, and it’s understandable that it didn’t quite reach the same cultural significance as its predecessor, yet it surely makes for an exciting new addition to the game. Digital Eclipse also hints at incorporating more titles in the future, so keep an eye out.
