Presenting a refined Recreation Pass experience
- by Ben Kerry
After a prolonged period of testing by Xbox Insiders, Microsoft has rolled out its revamped Home Experience to all PC users today. The Xbox team claims that this new UI allows for “quicker and easier access to your favorite games and explore exciting new titles to enjoy” with Xbox on PC.
While it may seem primarily centered around Recreation Pass, Microsoft confirms that the new PC Home Experience also enhances the process of locating and accessing games beyond the subscription offer.
“Home emphasizes featured content so players can stay updated on game launches, upcoming events, Recreation Pass offerings, sales, and more. There are also newly curated collections and recommendations, deals, and discounts,”
Many gamers utilize the app to obtain and launch fantastic titles from Recreation Pass, but the Xbox app is becoming a robust platform for gamers to discover great Xbox games that aren’t included with the subscription.”
Additionally, Microsoft is excited to promote the “jump back in” feature – which allows players in ‘Compact Mode’ to click on any game card and quickly return to gameplay for a smoother experience.
Ultimately, Xbox wishes to “thank all the developers and players who provided us invaluable feedback on these updates,” and notes that “a range of new features” will be tested over the coming months – as Microsoft continues to enhance its Windows and PC Recreation Pass offerings.
