Release Date for Demon Slayer: Infinity Fortress Announced

The release date for the inaugural Demon Slayer Infinity Fortress film has been announced.

As disclosed during the Corps Gathering event on March 1, the anticipated film will be released in theaters on July 18, 2025.

For those unfamiliar with Tanjiro’s demon-hunting adventures, the manga’s Infinity Fortress storyline is set to be adapted into a full-feature trilogy.

Depending on the extent to which it adheres to Koyoharu Gotouge’s original source material, it could encompass both the Infinity Fortress arc (chapters 137-183) and the Dawn Countdown arc (chapters 184-205). This would essentially bring the entire Demon Slayer saga to a close on the big screen rather than through streaming.

In the last installment of Demon Slayer, Tanjiro, his companions, and his Hashira allies found themselves entangled in the ‘Infinity Fortress’, the base of the series’ formidable antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji and his army of final, highly powerful, Upper Moon demons.

While Demon Slayer has produced a series of recap and compilation films in the past couple of years, 2025’s Infinity Fortress film promises to be the first full-length, original feature for the beloved anime since 2020’s Mugen Train.

Remarkably, that film became the highest-grossing of that year at the box office, which was affected by COVID-19, even surpassing Christopher Nolan’s Tenet.

Demon Slayer isn’t the only new anime set to premiere in 2025, however. My Hero Academia season 8 will conclude that superhero series starting in April, while One-Punch Man season 3 is also set to debut this calendar year.
