
Reflector Studios Announces Layoffs Following Unsatisfactory Performance of Unknown 9: Awakening
It remains uncertain how many individuals are affected, however job cuts may also influence support staff.
The lesser-known developer Reflector has informed its teams about layoffs following the decision “to not approve” an undisclosed project.
It remains unclear how many people were affected by the layoffs, but support staff may also be impacted in order to “align support teams with the single project strategy the studio intends to adopt in the near future.”
Affected employees will receive “sufficient” severance packages and extended healthcare benefits for themselves and their families. Counseling and “proactive career planning assistance” will also be available.
CEO Herve Hoerdt mentioned that continuing with the project – which was in the “conceptualization phase” – “would not have been viable for the future of the studio.”
