
Reburn: Ukraine’s Gaming Studio Unveils Fresh Identity and Innovative IP
4A Games has not undergone a rebranding, and continues to develop the forthcoming title in the Metro series.
4A Games Ukraine has transitioned to Reburn and has unveiled its new intellectual property, La Quimera.
As reported by Polygon, La Quimera was collaboratively developed by Reburn alongside director Nicolas Refn (Drive, Only God Forgives) and writer E.J.A. Warren.
Presently in development, La Quimera is a first-person shooter set in a fictional Latin American city. It will feature both single-player and cooperative modes with up to two players.
4A Games clarified via social media that the entire studio has not rebranded, and is presently focused on the next installment of the Metro series.
“To clarify, we have not rebranded or altered in any way,” it stated. “The same founders and core team of the Metro series continue to develop the next Metro game from our studios in Ukraine, Malta, and remotely.”
“We are also still diligently working on our other new IP as mentioned in previous studio updates.”
Reburn’s founder and CEO Dmytro Lymar confirmed that the 4A Games Ukraine trademark will remain with the Metro series, while Reburn will be associated with the new intellectual property.
