GameSpot may potentially gain revenue from affiliate and promotional agreements for presenting this announcement material and from sales through hyperlinks.

Castlevania enthusiasts can acquire all four seasons of the unique Netflix animated series for about $40 at Amazon during the retailer’s Big Spring Sale. A box set featuring Seasons 1 and 2 is marked down to $18.77, while Seasons 3 and 4 are available for approximately $20 each. All three Blu-rays qualify for Amazon’s B2G1 free deal. Just add them to your cart, and you’ll receive an extra discount at checkout, equivalent to the price of Seasons 1 and 2.

Castlevania: Nocturne Season 1 is not part of Amazon’s promotion, but you might still save $15 off its $40 retail price.

Netflix’s Castlevania Animated Series on Blu-ray

It is uncertain if Nocturne Season 2, which was released in January on Netflix, will get a physical release, but given that all previous seasons of Castlevania have, it seems likely.

Fans of the series may also be eager to check out Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series, a nearly 200-page visual book detailing the creation of the show’s original four-season journey.

If you missed it when it first debuted, the original Castlevania series follows vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, powerful sorceress Sypha, and Alucard as they battle against Dracula and his demonic forces. The latter part of the show focuses on a group of vampires striving to establish their own undead realm, as well as the foul-mouthed Grim Reaper himself (this may just be Malcolm McDowell’s best role ever).

As you might expect, the series is violent and features stunning animated action scenes, along with dialogue sharper than a razor through some of the more subdued moments. The Blu-ray editions include behind-the-scenes footage, voice actor interviews, storyboards, art galleries, and a variety of extra features.

Castlevania: Nocturne
Castlevania: Nocturne

Taking place centuries after the original Castlevania animated series, Nocturne Season 1 follows Richter Belmont and draws inspiration from the 1993 PC Engine game Rondo of Blood, which some fans may know better by a different title. Rondo of Blood was initially exclusive to Japan; Konami brought the story to North America on the Super Nintendo as Castlevania: Dracula X. Nocturne Season 2 answered several lingering questions from Season 1 while keeping the door open for a third season.

Netflix has yet to renew Castlevania: Nocturne for a Season 3. There is a chance that rather than continuing Nocturne’s story, a new Castlevania arc may begin. The Castlevania animated series has proven to be a vibrant addition to the franchise in recent years, so hopefully, it continues in some form.

Speaking of Netflix animated adaptations of video games, Arcane Season 1 was released on 4K and standard Blu-ray alongside Nocturne last October. Arcane debuted with two Miniature Model Steelbooks, a 4K Blu-ray featuring Jinx cover art, and a 1080p Blu-ray with Vi cover art. Amazon recently restocked Arcane’s 4K Blu-ray Miniature Model Steelbook for $37.76 (was $60), and the standard Blu-ray Miniature Model Steelbook for $35.64 (was $55). The non-steelbook Blu-ray edition is currently available for just $26 (was $45). Arcane concluded its run on Netflix with its second and final season in November.
