It must be an authentic exhibition!
We have finally received the confirmation of an Xbox Developer Direct event for 2025, and the amazing news is that it’s only a few weeks away! We also know what to expect, with four titles being showcased in total.
Three of these have been revealed including DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and the third-party Xbox Game Pass title Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, while the fourth remains a “surprise” that is being kept under wraps.

Regardless of the surprise, it appears we are set for a grand showcase. DOOM is a clear highlight – if it resembles anything like DOOM 2016 or DOOM: Eternal (which it convincingly seems to), it is undoubtedly going to be a standout this year.
It’s a bit more challenging to gauge the atmosphere around South of Midnight, the upcoming release from We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games, but we are truly hoping it meets expectations. Expedition 33 is the wildcard in many respects as it is not an Xbox first-party title, yet it has the potential to be the highlight of the showcase for many Xbox enthusiasts.
