The Pokémon Trading Card Game is currently thriving, and this trend seems poised to continue with the launch of the new set.

This release signifies the comeback of the fictional criminal group Team Rocket, officially named ‘The Glory of Team Rocket‘. It is expected to debut in Japan on 18th April 2025 and will include 98 standard cards along with additional secret cards. The initial reveal showcased cards featuring Meowth, Mewtwo ex, Persian ex, and Giovanni.

In the local market, circumstances will vary slightly, as Team Rocket cards will be mixed in with the Heat Wave Arena expansion as part of the forthcoming ‘Destined Rivals‘ set – set to arrive on 30th May 2025. Here are a few cards from The Glory of Team Rocket revealed so far:

In other trading card game updates, the mobile title Pokémon Trading Card Pocket has just announced its upcoming booster set ‘Exciting Revelry‘, scheduled to release next week on 27th March 2025, featuring over 110 cards including Shiny Pokémon.
